Zirconium Silicate
Zirconium silicate (ZrSiO₄) is characterised by its high temperature and wear resistance in the ceramic industry. It enhances the opacity of ceramic glazes, resulting in a whiter, more polished finish and more uniform products. Usage areas may vary by particle size.
With its annual production capacity of 25,000 tons, Color Prisma produces 1-micron, 5-micron, 200 and 325 mesh grain sizes under the brand name ZIRKON as Turkey’s the first and only local zirconium silicate producer in the Bergama facility. Zirconium silicate is widely used in ceramics, porcelain, and vitreous sectors. It also increases thermal shock resistance in the refractory sector and is preferred in the casting sector due to its high thermal conductivity.
Zirconium silicate products are indispensable raw materials for industries that have reliable performance and sustainable structure.
